The Rotel Corporation of Japan has now completed 60 years of business. In recent times, the upmarket Michi range of Rotel HiFi components has impressed critics worldwide. Rotel is still a family-owned company controlled by the Tachikawa family. Lately, Rotel had utilised the services of the late Ken Ishiwata (of Marantz) to fine-tune and tweak its products. The end result is a series of Mark II products that have taken the HiFi world by storm. In this article, we take a look at Rotel’s mid-market CD player, the RCD 14 Mark II.
