Swap it like it's hot

Fuji's virtually single-handed revival of the retro rangefinder camera continues unabated... and the X-E5 adds interchangeable lenses to the mix £1299 (body only)/go.stuff.tv/XE5

It's obvious where Fuji's newest mirrorless camera draws its influences from. The X-E5's specs and styling closely align with the fixed-lens X100VI... except here you're free to swap out the optics.

The chunky aluminium top plate adds a touch of luxury that you didn't quite get with the older XE models, while the viewfinder above the rear LCD screen feels instantly familiar. You don't get any protection from water or dust, though, or a builtin ND filter.

Internals have taken a big step up from the X-E4, including an APS-C sensor with a much higher pixel count, a faster image processor, and in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) for the first time in the series. Fuji's film simulations get pride of place on the top plate, with their own dedicated dial.
