Emblazoned with mecha-inspired graphics and RGB lights, this hybrid tab gives off serious gamer vibes... but could it be the perfect tool for work as well as play?

It wasn't too far back into PC gaming history that the words ‘integrated graphics’ were considered swearing. An Asus ROG device without a dedicated GPU would've been unthinkable. In 2025, though, the latest Z13 Flow — an angular 13in tablet with a built-in kickstand and detachable keyboard — is very much flying solo in the graphics department.

AMD has pulled off some silicon wizardry with its Strix Halo processors, delivering impressively high framerates in the latest games, but also lasting for an entire working day while away from the mains. That means the Z13 Flow has the oomph to replace many full-fat gaming laptops, yet is compact enough to ditch your handheld for.

But R43 000? That's rubbing shoulders with considerably more powerful machines that don't have to balance power with portability. Does that make it a niche proposition, or can it really be all things to all gamers?

Let's thick together
