With a Switch successor not due to be unveiled until well into 2025, there’s a good chance you’ve got space in your hands for a more up-to-date portable gaming device than Nintendo’s popular (but now slightly creaky) machine… and the Nitro Blaze 7 could just be it. Acer’s first handheld console certainly trumps the Switch for outright oomph, with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor, 16GB of RAM and AMD Radeon 780M graphics. Ryzen’s AI tech promises to spruce up performance, so it should be able to chomp through all but the heaviest games.
