The marketing blurb makes quite a song and dance about "5000Pa HyperSuction"whatever that means. They might as well say it uses the power of a small tornado to clean your floors. But in fairness, that bit of hyperbole is accurate. In Max mode, it's genuinely powerful, sucking up dirt like a turbocharged hoover on steroids.

In Quiet mode, however, it's about as forceful as a gentle autumn breeze. So, if you're looking to avoid rattling the walls and scaring your furry babies, stick to Quiet. For everything else, Max is decent, though be prepared for a sound that's more pneumatic drill than whisper.
