Ugreen's NASync DX2800 is great value, but its software is a bit basic and it wasn't too impressive in our tests

This two-bay NAS is pretty affordable, so on opening it you might be pleasantly surprised. It feels well made, with some neat touches such as a magnetic, washable dust filter. Its specification is also excellent. The NASync DX2800 has an Intel N100 processor, and comes with 8GB of RAM, upgradable to 16GB. It has a couple of fast USB 3.2 Gen2 ports and two M.2 slots for SSDs, but only a single 2.5GbE network port.
