In true Elder Scrolls style, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon plonks you into prison and a suitably gruff, mysterious man comes to your rescue. Sort of. He stabs your interrogator and leaves you to fend for yourself with zero guidance in a labyrinthine plague-addled asylum.

The atmosphere is palpably thick with disease and intrigue, and after some sneaky-ish hijinks, I catch-up with my 'savior', Caradoc. He says he'll meet me outside at the beach—presumably not for a Mr Whippy. Once again, I’m left fumbling around in the dark and end up unwittingly perusing an erotic novel featuring a fair maiden’s ‘love apples’.
