At IMTEX 2026, Mitra and his team used the platform to underline a simple belief: technology must adapt to people and processes, not the other way around. Sumon Mitra, Chief Operating Officer, CLOOS India, shares the launch of a programme-free robotic welding system designed to meet market demand for reduced programming time and operator skill requirements. This innovative system automatically determines welding needs and parameters, featuring online seam tracking to accommodate variations during the welding process.

How is program-free robotic welding, tandem-plus technology and cobot automation changing productivity and skill requirements in modern welding lines?
At IMTEX 2026, we introduced a new robotic application, or robotic welding application, which already had long-term demand in the market. Customers always demand programming time and ask how the operator will be skilled enough to program the robots. To meet that, we also launched a new technology, a program-free robotic welding system.
Place the product in front of the robotic system; the system will generate where the welding needs and welding parameters automatically, and after scanning, if there is a variation in the long path of the welding, the system is equipped with online seam tracking.
