LIKE KEYBOARDS, WIRELESS mice and trackpad input devices are preferred these days. But also like keyboards, it's always a good idea to keep a USB model to hand in case you have a problem with your Bluetooth model. Get a cheap one secondhand, and leave it in the back of a drawer for the rare occasions when it's needed.

Input devices come in two main types: there's the traditional mouse, and the notebooklike trackpad. Apple has both.
