Digitalisation has impacted the role of cables, with emerging technologies like blockchain, AI, 5G, and edge computing needing robust infrastructure. Advanced cables support ambitious projects like autonomous vehicle infrastructure and smart traffic sensors, shares Bhushan Sawhney, Executive President and Chief Business Officer of Cables at Polycab India.
