EPR Magazine (Electrical & Power Review)
|November 2025
Shailendra Kumar Shukla, Chairman of Icon Solar, outlines the company’s innovations and strategic progress in solar module manufacturing. Let us hear him.
How has your journey from 25 MW to 2.6 GW shaped your leadership in India’s solar industry?
We are a pioneer in the solar module manufacturing business and among the top 5 companies in India. We began this venture in 2014 with a capacity of 25 megawatts and the latest technology, polycrystalline solar panels. Today we have grown to 2.6 gigawatts (2,600 megawatts). Our presence spans across India from Kashmir to Kerala. We continue to remain consistently overbooked, reflecting the trust our clients place in us. China has largely influenced the industry, as most of the poly, mono, and topcon cells' raw materials are supplied by them. However, we have always been committed to adopting and delivering the most advanced technology.
How is your new Topcon module revolutionising solar efficiency and land utilisation?
