GLOBAL CONNECTIVITY ON THE GO, RIGHT IN YOUR BACKPACK & PHONE

Starlink

Staying connected is not just a luxury but a necessity, and SpaceX’s Starlink Roam is redefining what it means to have global internet access. Marketed as a portable broadband solution for travelers, adventurers, and professionals, Starlink Roam promises seamless connectivity wherever you are in the world - you can stay connected from your backpack.

STARLINK ROAM EVOLUTION

Initially launched as Starlink RV, the service was designed for people traveling in motorhomes and offered internet access in remote locations. However, with the introduction of global roaming capabilities, Starlink has widened its appeal. Rebranded as Starlink Roam, the service now caters to international travelers, digital nomads, and professionals who demand reliable connectivity beyond traditional broadband networks.

imageStarlink Roam offers two distinct packages to suit different types of users. Regional roaming caters to those traveling within their continent, providing stable internet across their home region. For those with a more global itinerary, the international roaming package ensures connectivity across multiple continents. Both options rely on Starlink’s constellation of over 4,000 low-Earth orbit satellites, providing a nearly worldwide reach. The service, however, only partially has limitations. Regulatory restrictions mean Starlink is unavailable in certain countries including Russia, China, and Iran. Coverage is also less reliable in parts of Asia and South America. However, the availability map on the Starlink website clearly shows current service areas and future expansion plans.
