Apple's iOS 26 beta 4 introduces a notable enhancement to its call protection features by integrating Silence Unknown Callers directly into the Call Screening system.

IOS 26 BETA 4 BRINGS SILENCE UNKNOWN CALLERS TO CALL SCREENING

This update, currently available to developers and public beta testers, builds on Apple's ongoing efforts to reduce spam, robocalls, and unwanted interruptions on iPhone.

The feature update allows users not only to silence unknown numbers automatically but also to screen them in real time using Apple Intelligence, enabling smarter handling of calls from numbers not in the user's contacts.

Originally introduced in iOS 13, Silence Unknown Callers sends calls from numbers not found in the user's contacts, messages, or recent outgoing calls directly to voicemail. With iOS 26 beta 4, this feature has been enhanced and merged with the newer Call Screening function—first rolled out in iOS 26 as part of Apple's Al-powered communication tools.
