ZOE Aldcroft hailed her trailblazers after Gloucester-Hartpury secured an unprecedented 'three-peat' last Sunday to wave legendary head coach Sean Lynn off in style.
Lynn linked up with Wales on Monday to begin his head coach role and prepare them for their Six Nations opener against Scotland yesterday.
Sarries, playing at their StoneX home ground in front of 7,848 fans, led 19-5 through scores from Jess Breach and Lotte Sharp, either side of a penalty try.
Kate Williams, Emma Sing and Mia Venner hit back for Gloucester-Hartpury before the break, and forwards Maud Muir, Neve Jones and co-captain Natasha Hunt added tries as they scored 29 unanswered points to seal three PWR titles on the spin with a 34-19 victory.
"We had a deeper level that we wanted to go to with Lynny leaving," said Gloucester-Hartpury co-captain and England skipper Aldcroft. "There was something deeper we had to fight for.
