Montoya excited by Pau challenge

JULIAN Montoya admits he will be leaving Leicester with a heavy heart after five seasons at the club.
The 31-year-old Pau-bound hooker arrived in Leicester during January 2021 after playing for Club Newman, Pampas XV and then the Jaguares in Super Rugby from 2016.
He quickly established himself as a popular member of the squad and won the Supporters' Player of the Year accolade for two years in a row in 2022 and 2023, the year he became captain.
For Montoya, the feeling of admiration is mutual. Speaking before he led Leicester out at home for one final time, he said: “I will always be very thankful for the fans, sunny day, rainy day, good performance, bad performance, they will are always there. They are the best fans I have ever experienced.”
