And this Kent senior side — coming into the 2025 edition of this famous old competition as double defending champions — showed all their experience and nous in overwhelming Hampshire, laying down a serious marker as to their intentions for a ‘three-peat’.

On a glorious day at Charlton Park, with the capital bathed in sunshine, Tom Stradwick’s men put on a performance to match the weather, getting the job done by half-time.

An inexperienced Hampshire unit simply had no answer to the power of their hosts, who struck first through Tom Kendrick - the Tonbridge Juddians man racing over in just the fourth minute.
