MATLOCK's winless run was extended to ten games but they were nevertheless good value for a point gained against high-flying Guiseley.
Both sides created plenty of chances but neither could ultimately find the defining moment.
Guiseley had the first clear opportunity in the opening minute as Lewis Whitham fired wide from the edge of the box, then Jameel Ible's free header from a corner was easily gathered by debutant goalkeeper Jason Alexander.
The game settled into more of a midfield battle with neither able to retain possession, Guiseley winning set-pieces to no avail.
