Danny Elliott swept the board at the Northern Premier League’s annual awards shin-dig in Blackpool.
The 29-year-old, who joined the Silkmen from Scunthorpe last summer, picked up the golden boot after netting an incredible 35 goals the highest tally since Rory Patterson bagged 41 for FC United in 2007-08.
Elliott was also named Premier Division Player of the Year in the wake of a season that saw Macclesfield win promotion to National League North with a record 109 points.
Further recognition came in the shape of Supporters' Player of the Year gong, and an official ranking by data service Wyscout as the most valuable player in the Northern Premier League.
The awards, collected by skipper Paul Dawson and manager Robbie Savage, capped a magnificent individual season for the former Port Vale, Chester and Boston forward, who also won Step 3 & 4 Player of the Year at The NLP’s National Game Awards in May.
