Savage delight as Macc hold nerve
THERE was drama as Macclesfield FC claimed a shootout victory at Step 2 side Curzon Ashton.
There was a thrilling finish as Curzon's Isaac Buckley-Ricketts equalised 45 seconds before the end of the six minutes of added tie to force the spot-kick decider.
And the Silkmen triumphed after netting all five of their kicks while, crucially, Jordan Richards blazed over with Curzon's fourth penalty.
Macc manager Robbie Savage praised his players with his side also 13 points clear at the top of Northern Premier League.
