Carter is ambitious at Harrow
WAYNE Carter has rebounded from tough times - and now he wants to help Harrow Borough do exactly the same.
Carter left Harefield United to join Boro last week and has set his sights on helping them climb back up the Non-League ladder.
The Earlsmead outfit were relegated from Southern Premier South in 2023-24, following a reprieve the previous year, and finished the past campaign 14th in Isthmian South Central.
It’s been a fall from grace for a side more used to Step 3 football in recent times, while they were a big Non-League player back in the 1980s.
Carter, too, has known what it’s like to endure a testing period. Having helped Hanwell Town to promotion to Non-League’s third tier for the first time in their history alongside co-boss Chris Moore in 2022, he immediately branched out alone to manage Chertsey Town, the team the Geordies had beaten in the Isthmian South Central play-off final.
