The Congolese forward was signed in 2003 having been spotted by Bucs playing in the Vodacom Challenge for TP Mazembe. Although only 18, he was immediately given the number nine jersey but scored only a single goal in four starts in the 2003/04 season and was sold to Vietnamese side Song Da Nam Dinh at the end of the campaign. He would remain in that country for the next decade before retiring at the age of 28 in 2013.

DAVIES MWAPE

There was no number nine at the club in the 2004/05 season, but it went to Zambian forward Mwape when he arrived at the start of the following campaign on a five-year deal. The powerful forward arrived at the club from Chambishi. Mwape’s only goal came in the CAF Champions League against ASPL 2000 before he was loaned out to FC AK and would also spend time at Jomo Cosmos.
