The 2025 Xpeng X9 is redefining the luxury Electric MPV.
The 2025 Xpeng X9 boldly redefines what a luxury electric family or business car can be. As China's bestselling electric MPV enters its second generation, this seven-seater challenges traditional minivan design with innovative technology and refined aesthetics. Xpeng Motors, established in 2014, concentrates on creating smart EVs with integrated Al and advanced driver-assistance systems. The company aims to become a global leader in Al-driven mobility just like its competitor, Tesla.
BREAKING MPV STEREOTYPES
The X9 immediately sets itself apart from standard boxy MPVs with its sleek, almost sedan-like profile. Measuring 520cm in length, 198cm in width, and 179cm in height, it provides a spacious interior while achieving an impressive 0.227 drag coefficient — comparable to many sports cars. This low drag significantly improves the X9's efficiency.
Xpeng describes their design philosophy as embracing “futuristic aesthetics to break stereotypes for traditional MPVs.” The low-slung profile and smooth surfaces create a spacecraft-like appearance that Xpeng calls the “Starship of Tomorrow”. Perhaps starship might not be the best description, but Xpeng wants you to know their design is out of this world, no doubt. The front features signature lighting elements, while the rear incorporates clean, minimalist cues emphasising the vehicle’s modern electrified identity.
The X9 offers four exterior colour options: Nebula White, Crescent Silver, Dark Knight Black, and Matte Grey, along with three interior options: Light Grey, Meteorite Black, and Moon Shadow Brown. These colour combinations contribute to giving the MPV a contemporary and elegant appearance.PERFORMANCE THAT DELIVERS
