An attack from 37km out sees Slovenian on top again at the Giro dell'Emilia, with Elisa Longo Borghini victorious in women's race

There will be no curse of the rainbow jersey for Tadej Pogaar.
That much became abundantly clear at the Giro dell’Emilia last Saturday, as the UAE Team Emirates rider soloed to victory, winning by almost two minutes.
It was not an attack from 100km out, as happened at Zürich the previous weekend, but it was an attack with 37km to go which sealed the Slovenian’s victory. He accelerated on the first of five ascents of the San Luca climb in Bologna, and was never seen again, in inclement conditions. Tom Pidcock of Ineos Grenadiers won a consolation second place, sprinting clear of the small chasing group, with Davide Piganzoli (Polti kometa in third.
