The ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 is all set to start from Tuesday, September 30 onward. All eyes are on Team India, who will be playing on home soil. India are co-host of the tournament alongside Sri Lanka. With a strong mix of experienced players and emerging stars, India are considered one of the contenders for the title. However, it will take a Herculean effort from Harmanpreet Kaur's side to turn the tide in its favour. This is the 13th edition of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup. India, who have never won the tournament, are set to make their 11th appearance. The Indian women's cricket team has been 2-time finalists, alongside finishing third once and reaching the semis on two occasions.

Earlier this month, India saw Yashika Bhatia get ruled out of the tournament owing to an injury to her left knee during the preparatory camp in Vizag. Uma Chetry was selected in the India squad for the marquee tournament.
