|December/January 2023
Glass was born on June 3, 2003, and raised in Orlando, Florida. She started karate at age 5 while her mom Giomayra Walker worked late every night to make a better life for them.

Question: What do you get when you mix a samurai-sword wielder from America's Got Talent with a teenage weapons and forms world champion who recently embarked on a career in action movies?
Answer: The newest member of Team Paul Mitchell Karate: Haley "Bulletproof" Glass. Her catchy nickname demonstrates that she doesn't need a Kevlar uniform to showcase her amazing skills.
Walker wanted her daughter to have a fun activity to do, so she took her to a local community center Glass enrolled in a shotokan karate class.
Her martial education progressed normally for two years. Around that time, her instructor began noticing that the 7-year-old blue belt worked harder than her peers. That was when he suggested adding the nickname "Bulletproof to her family name. It stuck.
Glass eventually transitioned to taekwondo.
For the past 11 years, she's trained at the Florida Sports Martial Arts Academy with William Canonizado and his son Marc. She currently holds the rank of second-degree black belt.
Fame on the tournament circuit came in 2013 when, as a 10-year-old, Glass won her first NASKA under-13 female weapons overall championship. She followed up in 2014 by becoming an ISKA world champion. It was those accomplishments that caused her to appear on the radar of Team Paul Mitchell.
