In April, videos were filmed of Mount Etna, a volcano on the Italian island of Sicily, puffing what looked like smoke rings into the sky.

The rings are formed when gases are shot out of a volcano through a vent (opening) that is roughly circular. Around 80% of the ring is water vapour, while the rest is carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. After the gases have escaped
