We don’t envy the team that had to come up with a TV show adaptation of PS1’s car combat classic Twisted Metal. But with development helmed by Michael Jonathan Smith (perhaps best known for several Cobra Kai episodes), this tongue-in-cheek apocalyptic journey starring Anthony Mackie (the current Captain America) feels like it’s pressing the right buttons already. Come July, we’ll know for certain.
