Now, Fujifilm has sprung upon us an elegantly styled APS-C camera with a compact zoom lens, the X-M 5. The Fujifilm X-M5 was globally launched on 14th October 2024. Let's see how the camera performs in our tests...
Design & Build Quality
Like every other Fujifilm camera, the X-M5 too is handsomely built and looks like a 'mini professional model'. The outer body is made from engineering plastic but looks strong enough to me for the purpose it is built. The design is sleek - uncluttered front as well as the back. The camera is available in all black and a combination of black + silver. The body is made in China and the Fujinon SUPER EBC 15-45 mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens is made in Philippines. The filter diameter for the kit lens is 52 mm.
Key Features
The Fujifilm X-M5 is a compact mirrorless digital camera incorporating a BSI (Back Side Illuminated) 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 imaging sensor and an X-Processor 5 high-speed processing engine. The sensor is APS-C size ((23.5 x 15.6 mm). A notable feature of the X-M5 is the Film Simulation mode (20 simulations) — this allows the user to simulate the rendering of Fujifilm photographic films which were/are known for their fabulous colours.
Looking at its extensive video recording facilities, I believe the X-M5 is developed more as a video camera than as a 'stills' model; but more about it later.

A creator's delight
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 isn’t just another foldable—it’s the most refined, ultra-slim, productivity-driven multitasking machine on the market today. At just 8.9 mm folded and 215 grams, it slips into a pocket like a premium notebook, yet unfolds into an 8-inch tablet that redefines mobile workflow. With its armored aluminum frame, IPX8 water resistance, and a hinge engineered for 200,000 folds, this is a device built for professionals who demand durability and elegance in equal measure. For creators, it's more than a phone—it’s a portable studio, editing suite, and client presentation tool in one. And when it comes to photography and video, the Z Fold 7 doesn't just keep up with flagships; in many real-world scenarios, it leads.
