Chase Jarvis’s famous photography quote is one of my favourites: “The best camera is the one that’s with you.” And while I completely agree with the statement, I think I’ve come to realize that sometimes the best just isn’t good enough. A few weeks ago, I was walking back to my car following an unsuccessful Nikon Skills project – the farmer had decided to cut the poppy field and, in turn, my flower photography shoot short – when I heard some rustling among a pile of leaves on the forest floor. I crouched down rather tentatively, bracing myself for the appearance of a rat, but to my surprise the source of the ruckus was a little mole.
