PH SECURES EUR200M FINANCING TO ENHANCE MANAGEMENT OF MARINE RESOURCES

THE Philippines has secured a EUR200 million financing for the Marine Ecosystems for Blue Economy Development Program, Subprogram 1 (MEBED1) that aims to enhance regulatory capacities to protect, restore and sustainably manage marine and coastal resources, the Department of Finance (DOF) said on Wednesday.
“By strengthening the foundations of the blue economy, we are securing livelihoods, raising incomes, and reinforcing a vital engine of national growth, today and for the future,” Finance Secretary Frederick Go said in a statement.
