Well here we are - no gas and air, no anaesthetic (unless you count, in my case at least, a bucket or two of single malt), crash landing into 2026.

2025 was a bumpy ride for the most part but if you're reading this and are able to focus after last night's partying - it's time to buckle up for what the new year may have in store.

And the first thing any normal person does upon hearing Big Ben chiming midnight on December 31? Make a bunch of New Year resolutions that most of us will break before we're face down in our boiled eggs and soldiers.

At this point certain teetotallers will pipe up and remind me that not everyone partakes of the odd tincture.
