Unbeaten Easts survive big scare to see off Celtic

East Leeds survived a huge scare before continuing their 100 per cent record in National Conference Division Two.

After 18 successive wins, Easts are eight points clear at the top of the table, have already secured promotion and need a single point from their remaining four fixtures to be crowned champions.

But second-placed Dewsbury Celtic almost ruined Easts' perfect record, leading 12-0 at one stage in the first half before the visitors hit back.

Celtic, who had won their previous seven, were level with eight minutes left, but Nehemiah Mensah's try, converted by Luke Littlewood, secured an 18-12 win for Easts.
