Baillie Gifford Non-Fiction Prize judges reveal six-long shortlist
The six authors shortlisted for this year's Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction – open to authors of any nationality - have been revealed.
It covers all nonfiction in current affairs, history, politics, science, sport, travel, biography, autobiography and the arts.
The judges' selection was made from more than 350 books.
The titles on this year's shortlist are:
