Sun, sea, sand – but whatever you do, spare me the clickbait

And while the time certainly flies when you're having fun, you can't just sit there watching the clock and hoping it slows down.

Not when there are people to chat to - or avoid like the plague, depending on your point of view.

Broadly speaking, folk on holiday tend to fall into one of two categories - those who love having a good natter and those who steadfastly hide behind the cover of the latest blockbuster, computing magazine or anything remotely large enough to use as a barrier between themselves and the outside world.

Each to their own, and we all want something different from a break in the sun.
