Protect our wealth creators

How many wealthy people in the UK are true “wealth creators,” and how many are “wealth extractors”? Too many assume the rich are entrepreneurs who benefit society.

Some are - but many just exploit the system.

Over the last 14 years, dodgy government contracts, lobbying scandals, and cronyism have enriched opportunists, while hedge fund managers and fossil fuel giants like BP, Shell, and BlackRock extract wealth and harm society. Even monopoly public services reward failure with massive executive bonuses and dividend payments. Meanwhile, doctors, nurses, farmers, teachers and ordinary workers - the real creators of value - struggle.
