New keeper Perri is feeling settled already
Yorkshire Evening Post
|August 16, 2025
New keeper Lucas Perri has saluted the impact of a key figure's call on his move to Leeds United - where the Brazilian is already seeing an "incredible" fellow new arrival strut his stuff.
Leeds are heading for their Premier League return with a new keeper in the shape of six-foot-six Brazilian stopper Perri who joined the club from Lyon last month for £15.6m.
The 27-year-old arrived carrying a slight hamstring injury which forced him to miss the penultimate preseason friendly of the summer against Villarreal at Elland Road but Perri went straight into the XI for last Saturday's final friendly against AC Milan in Dublin.
The keeper said he felt settled with his new teammates within minutes of playing alongside them and was then thrilled to see a fellow new recruit grab early headlines by showing what he could do at the other end of the pitch.
