Medics drop by to look to the future at new city MND centre

Clinical staff have been celebrating a new milestone in the building of the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease as the structure nears reaching 'watertight' status.

This will mark a significant step forward in the construction process, as once the glass is fully fitted, work on the interior can commence and there will be no weather-related delays.

To celebrate the moment, MND specialists from the multi-disciplinary team, including consultant neurologist Dr Foo and specialist nurse Claire Lang took the opportunity to have an update on the centre's development as they prepare to move in later in the year.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust specialist MND nurse Claire said: "It was really exciting to mark this milestone and to see how much the building has moved on. We work really closely together as a team and we've started to imagine ourselves working in the new space.
