Hatters relegated again as trio fail to make the grade

Luton suffered their second successive relegation while three hopefuls missed out on reaching the play-offs.

A 5-3 defeat at West Brom left the Hatters needing a big favour from Portsmouth, but Hull survived to hang on at Fratton Park for a 1-1 draw, consigning Town, demoted from the Premier League last season, to life in League One.
"It was a particularly painful day for everyone," said boss Matt Bloomfield.
