HC orders forensic test of Patiala Police audio clip amid election row

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday ordered a forensic examination of a controversial audio clip allegedly featuring senior Patiala Police officials discussing ways to obstruct Akali candidates, days after the state police dismissed the recording as fake.

The order came during a hearing in which the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) questioned the state police’s earlier assertion that the clip was fabricated.
