DC encourages farmers to sow Maize instead of paddy

Under the Punjab government's Maize Pilot Project, efforts are being made to promote crop diversification by encouraging farmers in Sangrur district to cultivate summer maize.
As part of this initiative, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Sangrur, Sandeep Rishi visited the fields of progressive farmer Chamkaur Singh in village Lohakhera, where summer maize is being sown on 5 acres of land.
