Primary pupils lead litter picking drive
Wishaw Press
|October 01, 2025
Pupils and staff at St Brendan’s Primary School in Motherwell have come together to lead a large-scale litter picking project, as part of their ECO Scotland campaign.
The week-long initiative saw children from every class take part in tidying up their local community.
Armed with litter pickers, gloves, bin bags, and high-vis vests, the children worked in teams to collect rubbish and learn about the importance of looking after the environment.
Supported by families and local residents, the pupils spent time transforming the spaces they live and play in.
