Plymouth boosted by Bomber’s guest outing against Poole Pirates

ALL eyes will be on the skies between now and this evening with the Plymouth Gladiators hoping the rain stays away from the Coliseum ahead of their KO Cup quarter-final first leg with Poole Pirates.
After weeks of glorious sunshine, things are expected to turn today with showery downpours putting a question mark over whether tonight’s meeting will go ahead. And Gladiators fans will be hoping it does, with Cornish sensation Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris booked in to guest at number one.
With heat leader Nicolai Klindt riding in Poland this weekend, promoter Mark Phillips and team manager Garry May were keen to draft in an adequate replacement, and they have done just that with 42-year-old Bomber riding in both legs of this quarter-final clash, the second being on Tuesday at Wimborne Road.
Glasgow captain Harris impressed when he led his team to a 50-40 win at the Coliseum earlier this month, scoring 12 points from five rides. A repeat would be most welcome, especially as Klindt has struggled to adapt to the tight turns and small straights of the Coliseum and struggled to get anywhere near his average so far.
