Yalcouye 'devastated' as red card costs the Swans

Yalcouye is 'devastated' at being sent off during Swansea City's defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.

- ALAN Sheehan says Malick

The midfielder was dismissed for violent conduct just after half an hour, following a clash with QPR's Steve Cook.

It appeared Yalcouye leaned in leading with his head during the confrontation, and referee John Busby deemed it enough to warrant a straight red card.

Sheehan admits the moment was costly, although his side were already struggling to make their mark on the contest having fallen behind to Rumarn Burrell's opener.

However, he's suggested Cook may have indulged in some dark arts to get the youngster sent off.

"He's devastated in there," Sheehan said when quizzed on the decision.

"Obviously we suffered from that. It changes the game. It makes it an uphill battle.

"I think you see a young 19 year-old lad up against a very very experienced player and I think that's the way it happened."
