Wales to host protests over Palestine Action ban

CAMPAIGNERS seeking to lift the ban on Palestine Action are planning demonstrations across Wales as part of a nationwide movement spanning 18 towns and cities.

Campaign group Defend Our Juries has announced protests will take place in Cardiff and Aberystwyth in November.

Event organisers estimate that around 1,500 people could join in the action next month, according to PA reports. Protests are also expected to happen in towns and cities across England and Scotland.

Those charged with supporting the proscribed organisation who are currently awaiting trial are also expected to start rolling hunger strikes from Sunday.

To date more than 2,000 people have been arrested for alleged support of Palestine Action, which was outlawed as a terrorist group in July.
