Thug strangled ex and drove e-scooter at her

A VIOLENT man drove an electric scooter into his former partner and strangled her, a court heard.

A bystander described him as “foaming at the mouth” and thought he was going to kill the woman.

Caine Williams, 27, brutally assaulted his ex partner and threw punches at men who attempted to intervene and come to the woman’s aid.

A sentencing hearing heard the defendant and the victim had visited a friend in Cwmbran on June 27, where Williams had been drinking.

Following an incident, the victim attempted to walk away from the defendant but he drove at her with his electric scooter and knocked her to the ground.

A man came to assist the victim but Williams said: “You mind your own f****** business.”

He then ran at the man and hit him in the chest, causing significant bruising and grazing.
