Shining symbols of a future full of hope

May 10, 2025

THE chair and crown for Eisteddfod yr Urdd Dur a Môr 2025 have been unveiled.

There is no doubt that they both embody powerful symbols of hope and youth in what can feel like too-uncertain times.

The Urdd Gobaith Cymru is a positive force providing opportunities for young people to learn and socialise in Welsh. Not only does it promote the Welsh language and culture, it also helps young people learn new skills and gain confidence.

It is unique to Wales and something to be proud of and cherish. As Wales' largest national youth organisation, the Urdd has more than 55,000 members aged eight to 25 and has been giving opportunities to young people across Wales, through the medium of Welsh, for more than a century.
