Sheehan so proud of his Swans after that sensational comeback
Western Mail
|September 19, 2025
ALAN Sheehan was left bursting with pride at his Swansea City players after they battled their way to a sensational Carabao Cup win over Nottingham Forest at the Swansea.com Stadium on Wednesday night.
A a first-half brace from Igor Jesus seemingly put Forest in control, before Cameron Burgess headed home to pull one back.
Zan Vipotnik then came off the bench to equalise in stoppage time, before Burgess then thrashed home his second of the night with effectively the last kick of the game.
"To concede on the stroke of halftime was obviously disappointing," Sheehan reflected.
"But it shows that when you make small little mistakes, there are players that can exploit you, and make you look a small bit fragile.
"But there were loads of aspects in the first half I was incredibly proud of.
