JONES' JOY AS OSPREYS EASE HOME

OSPREYS head coach Mark Jones was full of praise for his side after they registered their first victory of the season with a one-sided win over Zebre in Bridgend.

‘The result never looked in doubt at the Brewery Field, with the only frustration being that the Ospreys didn’t convert their dominance into a four-try bonus point.

“| am very happy,’ said Jones.

“When you get your first home game, especially in your new home or temporary home for this season, you want to get off to a good start.

“You only get one chance to make a first impression and I thought in all areas of our game we showed high quality.

“T suppose the only maybe slight down is we didn’t get the five points, but to have a zero next to your name is good.

“We spoke about improving our defensive performance and continuing with the good attack stuff.

“T think we made another step forward in all those areas, which is why I'mvery happy for the players.”
