THE Eben Etzebeth saga has taken an unexpected twist, with the South African set to wait a little longer to discover his fate after being sent off against Wales on Saturday.
Etzebeth was shown a straight red card by referee Luc Ramos with less than two minutes left to play in the Springboks’ 73-0 mauling of Steve Tandy’s side at the Principality Stadium, having made contact with Wales star Alex Mann’s eye with his thumb during a scuffle between players from both sides.
