Diplomacy is not the best policy for Bowen

> Art Of Diplomacy, ridden by Shane Fenelon, who surprised Sean Bowen on 5-2 favourite Olivers Travels at Uttoxeter on Sunday
-

CHAMPION jockey Sean Bowen does not normally get much wrong, but he failed to see the claims of Art Of Diplomacy - trained by his elder brother Mickey - in the feature race at Uttoxeter on Sunday.
Bowen was instead on stablemate Olivers Travels, who went off the 5-2 favourite in the track's 3m2f handicap chase, which was worth £22,600.
The pair did scoop a slice of that pot by coming third, but they had no answer to the impressive 11-2 winner, who was partnered by Shane Fenelon.
He claimed 5lb off Art Of Diplomacy, who travelled strongly before pulling clear of Harrys Hope, the mount of Carmarthen-born Ben Jones.
In a Welsh-dominated finish, the younger Bowen brother James came fourth on Village Master, but it was Sean, hot favourite for another jockeys' title, who was ultimately ruing one that slipped away.
Talking to Sky Sports Racing, Fenelon explained: "In fairness, Sean was on this lad until about 11.55am [on Friday] and I was on Olivers Travels.
